I think it's a 1/4" NPT plug, you'll need two of them one for between the inlet and outlet, and then one for the end...

Here's mine:

Next time I have mine apart, I'm going to weld on some bungs like the case you posted above.

wouldn't the outer one need to be bigger so you can fit the inner one in there? also on your case how has it held up? I was just going to drill an tap like your case

Looks like a 1/2" fitting for a 1/2" oil line?

I tapped mine 1/4" pipe for the inside plug, and 3/8" pipe for the outside plug. I also tapped 1/4" pipe for the galleys.
Try to get an aluminum plug for inside the case, as aluminum will expand and contract closer to the magnesium than brass or steel.

awesome, thats what i was thinking. I have a few 1/4 aluminum plugs laying around for pluging oil pumps, should do the trick. thanks

Sorry if you've gone over this elsewhere, but how did you block off between the ports?

I have always tapped them 3/8 NPT (T1/2/3 1500/1600 based).

I only go smaller (1/4 NPT) on the 36hp engines.

Any issues tapping the case this way? Seems like using NPT fittings would put some stress on the case in that area. I'm going the pump cover route, but curious if it's worked out ok. Seems like welding the nuts on is the best option, but that might not be feasible on a used case.

There's a plug. You can actually see it. The galley was drilled, tapped, plugged and then redrilled, tapped and an outside plug put into place I believe. I don't have any good pics of this process since my engine builder did it when I wasn't there...

No issues so far. But, when I have my case apart again at some point, I will weld on two bungs like the first pic in this topic.
