Bet that bus could drift it through a corner with the "steelies" on asphalt.

Wonder what country that is in?

Hmmm RHD....compare with countries having a rail guage width that matches the wheel width of that bus....

You can tell by the way the rails are fixed to the ties that it is a European track for sure...

Kubelwagens had railroad capability in WWII. Just remove the wheels, install the discs and replace the wheels.

I wonder how difficult it was to get that kubel off the tracks if a train was coming.

So did kubels have lug bolts, or studs & nuts? I would think trying to put the disc and wheel on with lug bolts would be a real pain.

You notice that to fit the width of the rail they had to install the wheel backwards:

That is an excellent picture of the bus. I have never heard of them being used for such things, but it makes sense, they were used for everything else.

Where do you get RHD? Actually those didn't have any steering. That one belongs to the Bullikartei in Germany; apparently they have access to 24km or something of private rail track.
