I was wondering if there was any interest in a family type campout in the spring time. I found a campground in Lake County that is free, has awesome bike and hiking trails, is pet friendly and empty most of the time. I went there on Labor day thinking it would be packed (free camping in CA?) but there were only a hand full of people who seemed to just be biking for the day. There are some group sites for the bus trolls too!
Only downside is the vault toilets. If your kids and lady are OK with them you are golden!!
If you are interested please post and I will organize.

I'd be down to camp, provided its on a weekend that doesnt interfere with another norcal vw show/event. Keep in mind April and May are both busy months in the norcal vw scene (niello ranch run weekend, kelly park weekend, madera, cruise in/busfest, sac bugorama, and i think the bus city campout at casini ranch is around then as well?

Cruise-In has a new name "Bug Bash," and is Sunday June 26 at Vallejo and Bus Fest 7 is Sunday August 14, also in Vallejo. Hope you can all make it...

The Lakeport show was originally scheduled for June 25-27, but has been moved to June 17-19. Unfortunaely I cant make it to Lakeport this year, but I will make it to the Bug Bash. 
And still interested in doing the NorCal campout. Who else out there has 2 cents to put in?
