Can someone identify these VW brackets? They are stenciled with the VW logo and have the part numbers 917A and 918A. I am looking for another set.
Thanks

Mmmm, yummy Solex P11 4's! Those were the hot carb to have back in the day!

I believe those manifolds and brackets were made by VW's industrial engine department which produced a 1600cc version of the Type 4 engine for SuperVee racing after the racing classes engine restrictions were relaxed.

Manifold looks about right... It has the mounting bosses for the cross shaft brackets in your photo. Cool

That is possible, as the pictured carbs are from a 1971 Super Vee. Thanks for the tip.

You are 100% correct. I located a 1974 VW 127V Super Vee engine parts list and they are there with part numbers. They are called left and right bearing blocks. Thanks again.
