Yes I did use the search with no luck. And looked at ratwell.com but it was pre 80-83 vans.

There are 4 notches on my fan and I do no know which one is the timing mark.

Does anyone know which is the correct timing mark. Also I do have two of these fans now and they both have the same marks.

Help.

Thanks

You could put number one piston at TDC and see which mark lines up. You should only have one mark I think. It sounds like someone in the van's past put some extra marks on the pulley. You should also have a degree indicator installed just above the pulley. The TDC mark on the pulley should line up with the 28 degree BTDC mark on the indicator at full advance(3200 rpm).

You might get more info on this in the bay forum, but it has been discussed here as well.

Your fan notch is the same.

Find it this way....

Do you have a timing scale on this thing?
