Hi All This winter I rebuilt a VW motor for my home made trike. It was based on a 1500 single port motor I was given. I ended up with a 1641 single port with stock dissy 5-67 bug, stock 30 Pict-2 carb, stock vw cam from Appletree parts. I have an alt so I needed the carb spacer for clearance. I am wondering what should I time this bad boy at? 7.5 BTDC or 0 TDC also with these distribs do you unhook the vacuum line while timing . I hope these questions are not too dumb as I am new to this vw way of life. Thanks John |
