Hey guys,
I am going through the wiring and operation of my westy fridge control panel.
On shore power when i switch the fridge on I get 12 volts at the leads going to the indicator light but nothing illuminates.
The fridge gets cold, breaker and outlets work, thermostat kicks on. If i turn the fridge switch off or switch the shore power switch to battery (with no batt) hooked up it kills the 12 volts to the light.
I got what I thought was a working solico indicator light that says its 125 volts , the one that was already in the panel says that as well.
I am confused because does the panel basically see 12 volts regardless of shore power or battery since the transformer steps down the wall juice? I cannot get either panel light to illuminate when using a battery with test leads attached to the light either.
What am i missing here? did somebody install the wrong type of panel light? could both lights be defective ? Should the solico panel light illuminate with 12 volts or is this the wrong bulb and would only work on ac wall juice?
Thanks for any help! |
