Can any one help, saw this chopper from Circle Yer Wagens Vw powered custom Chopper on youtube. Would like to hook up with the owner. I need to find out a little about the tranny hook up, and a few other things. Any help would be greatly appreciated. [email protected]. |

Do you have any pictures of it? I have seen a few VW bikes/choppers at CYW shows.

Same way any air cooled motorcycle stays cool, airflow when going down the road. |

A friend of my brother's put a VW 1600 on a BMW bike back around '72. He said it bolted right up to the bell housing. Sold it to what he called a "power hungry fool." Probably can't corner very tightly with the cylinders hanging way out like that, though. |

That's our bike.
My dad built it, he is the expert.
As far as cooling goes, it gets more airflow when running than a shrouded block Im sure. I wouldnt leave it running stopped for too long though, but its fine for short stops.
Turnbuckle and chain? I'm guessing your asking about the 70's Harley style "mousetrap" on the downtube.
That is part of the clutch assembly, One of the issues we found that the std clutch pressure required to work was way way to tough to pull by lever. _________________ 71' Ghia Roadster |
