Here is the whole system, those of us that pre-ordered a while ago just received them. The quality of everything looks really nice to this layman.

Is there an advantage to replacing the shift rods themselves, or more specifically did they improve them in any way? _________________ Casey--

I'd link to the RSFab product webpage where there is a description, but that could be construed as advertising so I'm going to refrain making it easy and suggest looking for it on the web.
In brief summary, Ray talks about the original rods being worn down at the bushing contacts and contributing to shifter slop even with new bushings. There are some improvement in how it all comes together and adjusts compared to OEM too.
In my case, every piece of my linkage is worn to the point of needing replacing, so this is the ultimate solution.
I'll update as I install but I invite others to jump in with their experience. _________________ She's built like a steakhouse, but she handles like a bistro! |

Wouldn't be seen as such in any reasonable person's ethical universe, link to your heart's content. _________________ Shop for unique and useful Vanagon accessories at the Vanistan shop:

Haha thanks, the polycuramine floor was a PITA to install but I've been very happy with it for several years now.
As for the link, here it is:
