Hey, new to beetles. Picking up my first, a '67, on sunday.

I am really into hot rods and will probably 'volksrod' it.

Had a question, I got a pic online of a yellow and white beetle rod, I think it was a scale model. No chop but had a 50's rod look going on. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about that model? I need to see a few more views of it cause it's basically what I want to do to mine.

Thanks!

volksrods.com might be of better assistance.

I agree, but I can't seem to get my registration approved by a moderator over there, so I can't post....

I agree...But it is your car. How about a 72', 73' 74' etc.? I still wouldn't want to see it happen even to a Super but you may not feel as much remorse after you realize what you've done... Wink Again, it is your car though...To each their own Shocked ...Or so they say...Just my 2 cents Cool Welcome to aircooled's nonetheless... Cool

Welcome, I'd think twice about the "volksrod" stuff... I'm a hot rodder too, the volksrods are goofy if you ask me, they don't look right and it's a stupid concept. Hacking up a volkswagen and slapping a set of kelsey hayes on it doesn't make it a "hot rod". But it's not my car. Very Happy

This one is good but has a front baja clip.

My vision of a 'volksrod' is not as extreme as other's.

I wish I could find that model to show ya, just a really cool mild rod.
