|
|
Hi all,
I've been doing some research on the Fiberine hightops including communication with Rico, the VP. I let him know my concerns about one Samba member having bought a top from them and it was warped. He guaranteed that the newly repaired mold would not have warps or any manufacturing defects. This being said, I am very confident that Fiberine will produce a great product from now on.
I would like to see if there is any more interest in securing some hightops from Fiberine. Lets see if we can bring the US market for hightops back to life. Post here if you're interested in getting a group buy going.
Thanks,
Mick

I assume you've seen a Fiberine top on a vanagon. The lines do not match at all (designed for a Ford Econoline??). |

I have seen the Fiberine top. The front line bothers me a little but it seems to be the only affordable option (coming in at $1000 vs. >$2000 for the only other North American option).
Is there any interest in this top for anyone else?

If I were to go with a High top, quality would be top priority not the cost.....but I understand having tight funds can limit your options. |

These pictures were found from previous topics in the forum.
I believe the quality issues of the Fiberine tops have been addressed. Rico, the VP, has been great to work with and I trust his guarantee of craftsmanship.
It would be great to support another US hightop maker, especially one thats close to home in Los Angeles. What do you all think? [/img] |

I have not bought or installed mine yet. The finished product is about two weeks out. I guess if no ones into a group buy for a discount I'll be the guinea pig!
I'll let you all know how it works out in a few weeks.
