15X7 Backspacing?

Hey guys I know there are a lot of forums and I have looked through a lot of them and haven't had any luck. I have some 15x7 steelies I am getting rebarreled I just want to be sure about the backspacing. I am on 2.5 drop spindles and just clocked two outer splines on the springplates on a 63 short axle. I have read different measurements from 3.5" to stock which is 3 7/8" backspacing. I just want it to sit flush in the rear with minimal camber. Any help would be greatly appreciated or a helpful link. Thank you.

Wheels/tires/stance are individual 'engineering projects' we can only measure/do ourselves.
Buy/ship the custom wheels first & proceed when you get them.
The 3/8" your sweating over isn't that big of a deal anyway.
