| - I haved towed vws, with towbars or tow dollies for thousands of miles, it is easy, they tow beautiful, I towed a bus from Montanta to Michigan doing 75 mph the whole way, with a 96 Chysler minivan, and towing a bug is much easier than towing a bus. I would not hesitate for a second to tow a bug to Alaska if I had to, it is a piece of cake! |

| - of course you put it in neutral, but do not strap the sterring wheel down, if your bug has a sterring wheel lock make sure you unlock it, with a tow bar the wheel has to be free, I would advise to get some towing lights, you can get them at any auto store I use ones that have magnets on the bottom I hook them to the tow vehicle and run them to the car I am towing and just stick them on the roof or bumper, it is nice to have brake lights and turn signals so someone does not smash your nice bug! happy towing |
