Hey, what is the best way to install 3 point seatbelts in my 64 bug. I will drill If That is what it comes down to but I would hate to do it. Is there any other way. Or if I have to drill what drill bit should I use. thanks, Mike

IM PRETTY SURE A 64 BUG IS ALREADY SET UP FOR 3 POINT SEAT BELTS, ONE ON THE TUNNEL, ONE ON THE FLOOR JUST BEHIND THE SEAT NEXT TO THE HEATER CHANNEL (MAY BE HIDDEN BY THE CARPET), AND ONE ON THE PILLAR. LOOK FOR THE BIG PLASTIC SCREW. ORDER THEM AND THE ADAPTERS FROM WOLFSBURG WEST.

Don't mean to kibitz, but plastic? Shouldn't the screws that hold the belt be metal? Or am I misunderstanding you, docbugjunkie?

This and the other thread realy should be together! Smile 79supervert... the early cars had a plastic screw "plug" to plug off the holes when the belts weren't installed. Vw knew they would one day be required so I guess they set up early. All mounting bolts will definantly be metal...
