I had a customer with A/C in a 67 convertable... so it is possible. It just takes $$$$. Plus they had a fresh 1600 dual port engine, which is best if your going to try and power the ac compressor. Modern ac compressors do draw alot less HP than the ones they put on at the dealer all those years back, but they still draw power so the dual port would be better than an old single port engine.
I have some literature on the kits from a comapny called I.C.E. in San Diego CA. I am not positive if they are still a viable source or not.... Can someone else help???? Anyone know of a suplier making/installing modern A/C kits... |
