This rail is coming out great. When I saw the first pictures of it I was like, "Oh no this guy is going to be wasting his time" but you have put a lot of work into it and its worth it. Nice ride.

Thanks man..nice '57 wagon or is that a Nomad? I just about wrapped up the wiring and have all the brake lines hooked up. I am going to bleed them this week. Just need to paint the guage panel and put it in. I can't find the original dash with guages, it might have gotten tossed in the trash accidentally Rolling Eyes

I also added a different front bumper. I ordered a knockdown rear bumper from Berrien. Should be coming this week.

Revisiting the rear cage bumper. PO used some beefy thick aluminum for the skid pieces. I am going to re-use them somehow on the new cage.

Did you use the rustolium hammered stuff? I have used it on some parts. Thinking about doing my whole frame with it. Does kinda lay smoother than expected, but it looks different. It helps hide imperfections in old metal. Figure it's easy to touch up to.
Where in Dirty Jersey do you ride that thing? Most places by me have disappeared, can't even sneak on the beach in the ghetto anymore.

Yep Rustolium hammered paint. True it does hide the imperfections. I haven't ridden it yet..we have gone to the pines before but they are cracking down alot lately, so I may take to the PA coal hills in a couple weeks once I finish it.

Got my rear shocks on and the AN fittings from Speedway Mtrs. They are pricy but nice, same with the hose. Anyone know a trick to get the hose all the way on? Its a real tight fit even with some WD-40.

Had to add some metal to make this Berrien rear bumper work. I just need some flat pieces for the side aluminum pieces to bolt to.

Put in a new battery in the box, and drove it around the yard a bit. Still need to paint the body panels, get the seat belts and extinguisher in, change the oil, hook up the rest of the oil lines, then I'll be about ready to roll. Oh and I need to get a U-bend for this exhaust Embarassed

Nice looking buggy.
Where you able to get the oil hoses all they way on the fittings?
What I use to soften the hose is a heat gun and a little oil on the fittings.
They slip right on.
Have fun with your buggy.

Thanks, no not yet, I heard about using the oil, but I will try the heat gun also to get them on all the way.

Slipped the rest of the oil lines on too. Some oil worked well for getting them on.
