I took my engine lid springs off to paint them and now putting them back in is a pain. Is there a trick to getting them back in? Do I take off the lid to install the springs? |

Just push harder!
Trunk springs have a trick - there is a bolt that stops open trunk lid, remove is put springs in place, close trunk lid a bit and screw bolts in place. But engine lid springs must be pushed harder in place! First install engine lid, make gaps equal, make it close and latch properly and finally install springs. _________________ The glory never gets old, just need new paint.

They're back in. Put the spring in the holes then pushed the top back down in the slot. Real tuff resistance but like you said push harder. thanks |
