m&h list them as being front tires but i was wondering if they would work in the rear.

They list them as fronts because their vision of a rear wheel drive car has much larger tires. They are envisioning these tires for the front wheel drive racers.

The tire doesn't know or care what end of the car it's pulling/pushing.
