Ran across this pic online of a 356 near me. Ended up tracking down the owner of the property but the pic was about a year old and the car had been sold not long after the picture was taken. Anyone know where it went? Was located near Irmo SC.

Came across this rusty as hell '65 today. It was a daily driver, but the dad made the son stop driving it due to the rusty floor pans - so the son parked it in 1989 and never touched it again. The rust continued to eat away at the car, and this is how it sits now.
It's complete though (haha) - engine, trans, interior, blah blah blah.

Here's a pic of the '55 pre A I just imported from Sweden after a chance conversation with some friends... and a little help from them too!
It hadn't left the garage in over 10 years, I am on the right, the previous owner who bought the car in 1985 is on the left.

*Porsche Powered Bug*
So you have all heard of the story, I had a bug and it had a "Porsche motor" well I have actually found that bug. 1963 Original Black with red interior sedan and its powered by a 1957 356 Motor. Also has Porsche drum breaks all the way around.

Hello,
I just love the Porsche 356 powered Bug. The patina is right, the red interior is a killer. Porsche brakes and Porsche engine.
This is a great find. I hope to see it on the road one day! |

Picked up this Porsche aircraft engine today. Really cool, unfortunately it only has one head and it was replaced with a 2 plug head instead of the original 4 and has a 32NDIX instead of the 36 NDIX. Missing the other head, carb and tin. Someone also tried to put a cast iron distributor in cast. |

Brought home this 1960 RHD 356b. It was shipped over from the U.K. into the port of Houston in 1978 according to all the shipping documents and bill of lading. It’s motor is long gone but it’s got rust and it’s pretty complete other than that just taken apart. I don’t plan on building this car as I’m into busses but hopefully it finds its way to a good home.
