I am trying to find replacements for the upper wood slats for my 78 Bay Westfalia and cannot find. Maybe due to not knowing the official naming. They are the white slats in this photo. Any ideas on what they are called?

I was able to make new ones using the old ones as templates. Some very thin birch sheeting was sourced from Home Depot.
This included remaking the sheet in the cab area and painting them instead of trying to recover them with the GoWesty Vanagon material. The underside of the upper bunk also got the same treatment. Looks great.
I made them fit pretty tight and did not need to add any screws.

That looks awesome! You should start a business and sell What thickness of birch did you go with? _________________ 1978 VW Bay Window Westfalia
