|
|
I couldn't find any information after a search.. unless I missed it
I have a pal who can't get early (twin pot) brake callipers, due to the rarity of early AC vanagons in his country. No new spares available.
He has a late Vanagon sitting waiting to be broke up.
So should this swap be possible...What would be needed from the late vanagon to exchange the callipers ?
Thanks

I believe you would need the spindles, and lower arms at the least. _________________ 91 CARAT |

| He'll need the late style rotors and wheel bearlings as well. |

The BIG difference besides the rotors is the mounting surfaces on the spindle.
Early machined on one side only and threaded.
Late machined on two sides and not threaded.
So either he modifies his early spindles or puts the late ones on. _________________ "Use the SEARCH, Luke" But first visit the Vanagon FAQ!
