I'm not sure what to call these "covers". They are installed on top of the footrest recess in our Thing with 4 screws. I need the driver's side item; the passenger side is still in fine shape (pictured).
Anybody know of a source for these "covers". Thanks, John.

It is called a kick plate.
You can ask Mike Basso at Thingparts.com if he has a used one for sale, and he also sells The Thing Shop reproduction ones

I have always wondered...What is the mysterious indentation just to the left of the kickplate in this picture ?? People always ask "what is that dent " , & I have to say they all have that  |

The dent may be for right hand drive clearance for accelerator pedal.
It's just a guess.

the dent is for right hand drive
I had a customer remove it as he thought it was a dent, lol
Kick plates are out of stock at the moment, hopefully soon they'll be back
sold in pairs only new
we have a pile of used right sides, No used left side used as they get high wear
