TMI foam padding or WolfsburgWest seat hair padding ??

What did you use in combination with factory seat covers?

Which one is more firm and lasts longer and works best?

Any input is help full.

Thanks

Ww is way firmer and as close to stock as you can get. I have them and love it.

The WW is way nicer than the foam and as close to the OEM seat firmness.

X3 i used them and have no complaints. fit and look like OE. i think the foam ones make the seat look too over stuffed

SewFine makes very good products. Quality between TMI & them is night & day for a couple $'s more. I did my front, mid and rear seats with SewFine. I had originally did the front in TMI and they were quickly replaced with SF.

I like the horse hair from WW but it doesnt have that same drability. It has broken down too soon. The foam is nice too and a lillt more comfy in the camper. Both are them get my vote, TMI is a little cheaper.

Burlap or thin industrial carpet over the springs, then 3/8" Jute, then 1" high density foam, doesn't get any better. For upholstery, Sewfine, top of the line products.

Hair? The original VW pad was Coir, coconut fiber. If the pads WW are now selling are indeed hair I would question the longevity of them.

I have used both - depends what you like. As mentioned horsehair is firmer - But there is nothing wrong with foam if done right and properly covering the springs is VERY important.

And I have also installed TMI seat covers and Sewfines. The Sewfine is a little nicer and they can do custom applcations easier. I definately like the Sewfine door panels better. But they are also more expensive. For standard stuff, I usually will go with TMI.

I've used both as well. I had a local shop do my middle and rear seat custom (similar to what Busman describes above) and they came out really
nice. For the two front seats I used my custom covers with WW seat pads and they were good at first but I had my shop then cover them in burlap and it made them much better.

Too bad they don't do plaid. Has anyone asked about this as a custom order?

I would (and have) only used Sewfine foam pads and covers. Sewfine materials are so much higher quality.
However the last ones I did were my own pads and covers. Made just like Sewfine does. And using the same foam as Sewfine does.

Well for me it would all come down to this, does the WW sisel pad smell like the OG stuff. if so i may order an extra set and stuff them under the back seat.
