I have a salvaged van that has those pretty dark-green tinted windows. I'm thinking about putting those windows into my early 99 van.
Will the seals get destroyed upon removal? If so, are there new seals available anywhere?

I tend to cut out seals and install with new ones.
but if I'm going to save seals and I'm not familiar with the glass mounting then I take it to my glass guy. it's a small independant shop and they can do it pretty dang quick.. _________________

I just helped a friend remove the windows on his 88 Vanagon Westy. It was my first time.
the rear hatch was hardest, we got it done using 3 paintsticks at the top corner, to start holding the rubber back inside, then he pushed with his feet from inside, while I helped catch from outside.. once the corner had started to move out, the rest pulls easily.
the side windows were Much easier to push out, even the one by the closet. We did not cut the rubber, and it was not damaged in the process. But I suppose that depends on the condition of the rubber. |

Eurovan windows are usually glued in, may need help from a glass shop with the removal and reinstall. _________________ 1986 Vanagon Syncro GL, westy interior, GW 2.4 and all locked up
