I've done some searching about putting Roller pedals in, but all the results i found were regarding fitting them to LHD cars, can anyone shed some light on how they did, or how its normally done to RHD cars?

I want to put one in my 59, but being RHD its not a simple install!

I'm not sure.

I just looked over on the British VZI forums for some kind of an answer, since just about all the cars they talk about are RHD. More than one post there saying stuff like "I put a roller skate wheel on mine, it was easy" but no instructions. Then after like 20 pages of search results I found this thread:

-----

Out of curiosity, I went and looked up what the factory roller pedal used 57/older was like and found this, looks like a much different setup than the 58-66 style.

I know a guy who has one installed (i'm from Oz too so all cars here are RHD). The next time i see him i'll have a good look.

My pedal cluster is different to the one pictured above, so it wouldn't be just a case of removing a nut and washer and sliding on a roller pedal. The accelerator arm slides in from the right on mine, and not the left.

Yes, I know that it's different. I thought I made it clear when I said " Out of curiosity, I went and looked up what the factory roller pedal used 57/older was like " - I knew he had a cluster like you showed with the photo of the yellow car. I just put that photo up becuase to illustrate how VW themselves did it before they went to the the setup that "Doctor" should have in his 1959, which would be this:

Sorry, i wasn't trying to go against your post, i just thought i'd post the cluster pic here in case others knew of how the roller pedal setup would be once they saw the pic.
