so im looking at getting a set of EMPI BRM's. i wanted to run 5.5's in the front with a 145r15 tire and a set of 6.5's rear with 185/65/15's.

my bug has drop spindles in the front and i rub with the stock 165's. now im almost sure the rear 6.5's and 185's will fit even with my car 1 click down. its the front im worried about.

so has anyone ran this settup on a 65 or other with short axels? i want it flush to the fenders and i don't mind a little rub here and there but i don't want them to poke out.

Thanks

Just my 2 cents -- I think 145s will fit better on a 4-5" rim, and the 185 will fit a 5.5 rim really well.

thats what i was thinking of for the front was the 145's and 4.5's to make sure they fit. if i don't have to i don't want to narrow the beam. i want the wheels to sit almost flush with the fenders.

185's was a safe call for the back, the more i look at it i will maybe go with a 205/60 for the back. im down one click but i think im gonna go to +5-5 to raise the back a little so even out the drop since i have a little more sag in the back then the front.

here is my car with the spindles and 1 click

I am new to the rim & time set up.

I have a 66 type 1 vert & want the look that you have.

Please confirm the rim & tire size for front & back please

Also how low in the from & back is your car?

I would like to match the look

Great job by the way
