Hey guys. I feel like a moron but I can't find where the front end of my clutch cable attaches to the clutch! My old cable broke. Luckily I have a spare. I've laced it through and I can find the hole in the chassis where it goes behind the pedal but how do I get in there?

You have to take the pedal arm apart and off the frame to get at it.

Nice opportunity to put a new boot on the clutch pedal arm if need be

When you pull the pivot off, if you are so inclined to remove the little lever to lube the pivot, make sure you put the lever back on just as you took it off or your new cable will not last long.

Thanks. Got it back together! Took me forever to figure out how to get that pedal out. I kept looking for other ways to get to it cause it just wouldn't come out! Twist up lift and slide out. Magic!
The cable (bolt portion) did not want to slide through the last foot of the metal tube (FYI not where it snapped). Finally got enough grease and a good wire to pull on and it worked out. I've read about how fast people pull this repair off I might hold the record for longest!

Thanks again for you help.

I think I might need to re tapp the bolts holes on the tranny that hold the Bowden tube. Any advice before I proceed?
