Carpet for early busses, who can tell me more

Hi there,
i have found a roll of that popcornstyle carpet for early beetle.
Some guys tell me that it was also used in early busses. Ist that true?
I found that pic.

The picture above could be original carpet, although I don't see any stitching around the outside edge.

I think it depends what color you found as several different colors were used.
