What power output for a 1600 DP with type III carbs?

I have upgraded my 63 singlecab with a 1600 DP meximotor. I was running it with the standard 34PICT3 and the bus exhaust with a single peashooter. I have now got type III Solex 32's and a bugpack header, I am using a 009 distributor and it runs great.
What sort of power should I be getting. I was just curious.

Seriously, that's about all your gonna get out of a stock cammed 1600. Those aren't the greatest carbs.

Well isn't that 20% more than a standard 1600 DP?

My 1600DP in my Karmann Ghia had an official HP rating of 60HP SAE @ 4400 RPM and 50HP DIN @ 4000 RPM. Craigman is right, I'm feeling expecially generonius today, I'll give you close to 10HP increase with those dual carbs and a header. Very Happy

Does it feel faster to you? That's all that really matters.
