I've got a good one planned.

Looking to leave Tracy, MN about Aug 8, lotsa time in WY and MT before putting a friend on a plane in Spokane on the 28th.
A week w friends near White Salmon, WA before joining other friends for weeks in the Sawtooths and the Canyonlands.
Great dayhiking and at least 8 hot springs enroute.

Wanderglobe - looks like our paths cross a lot, hope they cross at the same time, I see your pic in the gallery.

I'm in a '71, looks like Chabanais' below, but w the spare on the front.

Looks like a helluva trip. Enjoy!

I was just through your neck of the woods a couple of weeks ago, and it looks like you'll be passing through mine soon. If you need a hand, or just a safe place to crash for a night, fell free to contact me.

cdennisg - thanks for the offer, hope I don't need a hand, and am good for places to spend the night. Meeting a friend at his cabin in Noxon, MT for a couple days then straight to his place in Spokane for the flight the following day.

rovnrev - great suggestion, that's where the lower left leg on the google map goes. I was there in the bus 3 or 4 years ago, no problems, but reckon road conditions can quickly change.
Had it all to myself midweek, but it filled up [10-15 sites] on the weekend.

Do yourself a favor and skip Sun Valley/Ketchem and drive from Stanley to Challis through the Yankee Fork Road. Even if you do have to see Sun Valley spend a couple days on the Yankee Fork. It's absolutely beautiful. I just drove my bus up there for 6 days list last week.

Just passing thru Sun Valley to see a friend in Hailey.

Nice Bus!

Your route looks good. Buffalo was cool, so was Thermopolis. I'd swing by Jackson and go White Water Rafting on the Snake River. Mad River is a great company and it's a lot of fun:

Also the Wyoming Dinosaur Center is worth visiting (in Thermopolis). Touring the old Wyoming State Prison was cool, too.

I would swing by Antelope Island in Utahby going down 84.

Here's where I went:

Flying J in Winnemucca, NV Smile
Antelope Island, UT
Rawlings, WY
Casper, WY
Devil's Tower, WY
Buffalo, WY
Fort Kearny, WY
Billings, MT
Cody, WY
Thermopolis, WY
Jackson, WY
Tetons/Yellowstone National Park, WY
Craters of the Moon, NV
Idaho Falls, ID
Twin Falls, ID
Lovelock, NV
Back home!
