Bought an adpt to put my 1776 bug motor in my sons 70 bay bus and when bolted up the oil pump cover studs are going to rub on the crank pulley. The pulley measures 17cm across. Do I need to remove the plate that came with the kit that fits between the block and the hanger plate? Different pulley? I'll still have to cut down the studs that came with the kit. I searched and searched but no real answer to my question. Also need the size of the two bar mount bolts to the body hangers (real short), the bar to engine from what I found are (2) 10 x 38 mm and (1) 8 x 70mm am I correct?
Thanks

The engine mounting bar doesn't bolt directly the the hangers on the frame. There are two rubber mounts #211-199-231A. You don't bolt the engine mounting bar directly to both the engine and the oil pump mounting adapter. One or the other. If the engine case has the 3 mounting lugs and holes then use those. If not then use the adapter.

Assuming the case has no mount holes then you have to use the adaptor, if your pump cover is flat you don't need the spacer plate, that's for stamped pump covers with the raised edges (sometimes you still have to trim the raised edge a bit). If you're satisfied the studs are screwed in as deep as they will go you may have to trim the ends a bit, remember where that kit was made and the high degree of quality control EMPI is famous for.

The short bold I was refering to are the ones the go through the frame mounts into the mustache bar rubber mounts to secure the bar to the bus frame.
Using only the cover plate supplied and the bar mount the studs are going to stop the crank pulley from bottoming out to tighten properly and rub. Does the adpt mount serve as an oil pump cover? Doesn't look like it should. thanks

The bolts that hold the bar rubber mounts to the frame hangers are 10x25-30mm, the bolt dimensions you listed are for bar to engine if it has the cast in mount bosses. You'll also need 2 10mm nuts and some lock washers for the studs on the rubber mounts where they bolt into the bar on the ends.

The spacer plate supplied with the kit can't be used as a pump cover by itself and neither can the actual adaptor plate, they just aren't machined flat enough and using the plate alone would leak as the mount flexed.

You must have some really fat oil pump in there.

What a pain in the arse getting the bar to line up with the mounts. But it's on and just have to reassemble the motor and see if it all works. Still not sure whats up with the crank pulley and mustache bar mounting studs. Is there a special size pulley he should be using?

I've never had a clearance issue, but if the pump is extra deep or it's not a stock pulley you might have issues like yours. How about some pictures?
