78 2.0 motor. I bought some new NGK BP6ET plugs and noticed they are about a 1/8" longer than the plugs I pulled out of the motor which are Autolite 405 do I need to be concerned about the longer plug or is the autolite just short ??? |

The NGK's should work fine. What I would be concerned about is that the last bit of threads are going to be filled with carbon and maybe even burned a bit. Probably best to run a thread chaser into each of the threads before installing the new plugs. At the very least spray some BP Blaster or something similar down the holes to try and break up the carbon. |

Your engine may also run better with proper length plugs ;0) _________________ Current VWs 71 T2 Westy SO-72/6(Miami), 71 Crew Cab, 2015 GSW TDI
