Try doing a search on the style seats you want to build and see if they list the measurements. Most do and then you can build them. Good luck and post a picture when you get done! |

There's a big VW (Volky) scene of in Puerto Rico and many shops on the island. Would shipping be cheaper from there?
Also, if you drive the buggy a lot you may not want fiberglass seats. They are not the most comfortable choice. You may be happier with some seats from a Mazda Miata or similar sports car you can get locally. _________________ www.LoCashRacing.org

Want a fully custom form fitting seat? Here's what a friend of mine used to do.
1 - put on coveralls and have your wife wrap you in plastic wrap (not what you think)
2 - have an old bean bag chair at the ready also covered in a plastic drop cloth.
3 - have a 3x3 foot piece of heavy fibreglass cloth soaked in resin and spread it out on the bean bag chair.
4 - drop your but into the middle of the glass cloth and wiggle down into the bean bag chair to you find a really comfortable posittion.
5 - remain seated till resin hardens. WARNING - it will get warm wear jeans and a sweater under the coveralls
6 - contour the seat edges, add mounting tabs and laminate the outside with more glass cloth for strength.

Some people do this with race car seats and poly foam when there is two very different drivers for a car...
