Appreciate any help, let me know what more information would be helpful.

My '86 Syncro, Subaru 2.2 was having a little grind down shifting from 4th to 3rd at any speed. Now I am unable to downshift 4 to 3, 2nd to 1st is still smooth and going up through the gears is fine as well. Pretty thin story I know, just not to sure what more information would be usefull.

Avid Forum reader, but first post about my own van specifically, thanks for any input.

Stop driving it and have the transmission rebuilt before you damage it more.

x2
More miles on it = more dollars needed to fix it.
