While these pictures of mine have long been lost, I just found the negatives and converted them to digital images.

See all the pics here:
http://public.fotki.com/PMS/vw-events-1983-to-1989/

Some of the shows are:

Spring Break ‘86
Cypress Gardens ‘85
Titusville ‘85
Ft Lauderdale ‘85
Various Polk County VW Association events

Here are some notables:

The pic of you in 85 with your car is quite funny.

Pretty sure that same Chocolate Ghia is still
around. Saw it at the Melbourne show recently?

Would be the shiznit to find one of those removeable
hard tops for a Ghia some 30 years later!

The hard top set-up was cutom made by the owner. I've heard that Ghia is still in the Tampa area but hasn't been driven in years and is rotting away.

How about the Hurst bumper panel? That must've been a rare bird back in the 80's. I don't recall ever seeing it at Bulli Brigade. Wonder were it is now?

Don't know? I only had eyes for Ghias back then. The only reason I took a picture in that direction was because of the approaching thunderstrom.
