Does anyone have the dimensions and info on the attachment of my wood for the inside on a poptop? Mine didn't have one and I'll be repainting it the correct color silver white and making the wood for it.

| The wood pieces you see on the inside are the points to staple the canvas to. They won't be seen after the canvas is in. You'll just see the smooth painted fiberglass. |

They were fiberglassed in, sure there's no trace of where they were inside?

OK between this photo and yours busdaddy, the wooden frame is located just next to the aluminum lift frame, then it appears there is a flat board with handles, How is the frame attached and how is the wooden board attached? I saw a top for sale and asking if the owner would just sell the wood part. Unless I get dimensions. I also see the cloth poptop is stapled to the wooden frame. Still haven't figured out how the wood attaches to the top unless it is the bolts with plate I see on the outside of my top.

The frame is glassed in with cloth and resin, there is no "board" in the center section, that's the inner side of the fiberglass (one single layer) you see and the handles bolt through it.
If that's your top the only thing you need is a hold down and some canvas.

Linda, I had very little time to take, resize, and then upload these pic's for you.... BUT if you need any more detailed measurements or photo's.... please let me know.
I only occasionally login, thus there is a delay in my responses to PM's.
I would also have had a better written description for you here... BUT, I am now outta time. I need to haul ass to make it to pick up my girls from their after-school programs... I will do the best that I can with measurements as time allows, Linda, if you really need me to.

OK, went and measured and took pics of an OG top:
This is the longitudinal stringer, end to end measurement:
Sorry, I couldn't find a metric tape but the height was a little short of an inch:
Yeah, this one sucks, the other end of the tape was on the end of the crossways stick and ended up 5/8" long of however many inches that is, that doesn't include the width of the longitudinal piece:

If I can find the time I'll pull the top out of where it's stored and do better.

busdaddy & Busryder, I guess it's time to get those new bifocals I didn't see the wood frame and thought there was a wood board inside where the handles go. I have looked at this top several times and I guess the dirt in the inside kept me from seeing there is no board inside and I don't know why I didn't see the wooden frame. Thanks so much for opening my eyes here is mine below yes I need new glasses. Not in vain as I'm sure this post will help someone down the road. Thanks again for all your help, I'm trying to get a lot done before the awful cold and snow of the north east so I am not seeing what is in front of my face I am embarrassed,  So glad I didn't buy the one for sale (it sold the previous day)...still
I know I'm pushing it but what type of screws did you use to attach to the bus? I thought there was still one attached to the frame when I got the bus back from the body shop and it looked like a pan-head sheet-metal style screw, yes it goes through the hole in the metal roof then to the wooden frame on the bus roof.

Linda, they appear to be the exact same screws as the ones that hold the scissor mechanism to the top portion of the Pop-Top wooden frame. I did not, however, attempt to back the screws out to determine they're length.

That is very helpful Busryder, I am taking the mechanism off (taking photos & labeling of course) so I can clean and paint both the inside and out. I just tried the Krylon paint and find it very fast drying and covers well. I'll post once done. Thanks again for all your help
