Hi
just looking at my floor pan. It looks like the choke cable location has been blanked off & wanted to check that the heater pipe protruding from the floor pan tunnel is correct. I'll attach a few pictures. Is it possible for someone attach exact pictures for both locations & can I purchase the choke section?
thank you Dave

OK Dave1, Trying this again; as mentioned before, not the world's best photography, but what was obtainable inside the garage.
I posted them before when your post appeared; though given null response figured nobody cared. Not the most original example, or even correct (older) restoration...though a numbers-matching, VW documented vehicle; thus the concern you face WRT locations of parts will be accurate to the purpose. I truly hope -this helps.
See here (heat control):
and: (choke control)

I have a similar (exact) issue. The choke am able picture isn’t valid any more. Can someone please post a picture?
Also the choke exits out of back of pan if I’m not mistaken? _________________ '67 deluxe bus w/the little windows

Hi mark. Thanks for additional photos. Your choke is looking a little modified?!? What up with that 1/4-20 looking bolt thread? Is that the stem without the plastic handle?
Here is mine. Seems to be cut at the tunnel?

Yes, that's the way it was when I got the car. I have the correct L handle and cable for it. |
