Anyone got any advice on how to "mold in" a honda civic fast and furious style body kit onto my 50 panel. I already cut out the lower third of the bus and tried smoothing out the bondo to get that cool smooth look, but it doesnt seem to strong. I also wondered if anyone could tell me how to mount one of those really big aluminum wings to the roof. Ive already installed a really big muffler tip and neon tubes, so any advice is appreciated. |

I didn't see duct tape or chicken wire mentioned once, you obviously don't know what the fuck you're doing, just spend the cash and let a real body shop do it for you. |

well as for the alluminum wing, just by what ever kind you thing looks cool. then drill the holes over the front part of the cab and install it. i say over the front part because with the weight of the engine in the rear there is no problem of those tires sticking to the ground. the front is what will need help sticking. fro the front and back bumbers you will need two sets. one you will hack in half right down the middle and the other you will cut out the midle part for what ever length needed to complete the wrap around. do the sme for the rear. dont forget that you need to mount your fire extinguisher on the passenger side right next to the windsheild.

Wow, you guys have some great ideas for the panel. Think theyll let me show it at Solvang when its done? That bit about the wing makes sense, maybe Ill mount one on the front and one on the back. I cant mount the fire ext. on the passenger side because I forgot to mention its right hand drive and my 3 gauge cluster is already there. Come on "58kombi" dont you have any ideas? |

A gas heater on both sides of the engine bay with the blowers ducted into the carb and intake fan really boost performance. I took fresh air tubes and routed them into the solex's on my okrassa. This was almost as fast as the gas heater hooked up to my Judson. You can really get these buggies to move if you kknow what your doing! |

Well, I guess that "[email protected]" has my idea beat. First, take the jets out of your 25hps carb, what the hell do you need that restriction for anyway? Next, cut a hole over the top of your engine in the rear deck. Get a buddy to ride in the back with a gas can. Hammer the pedal to the floor while he dumps the can in the carb! Be careful not to spill though cause you certainly don't want a fire after all the big bucks you spent on all those gallons of Bondo... |

Wow, I hadnt even thought about the performance ideas, and these sound like some good ones. The only problem is I threw out that anemic little engine it had when I got it, a guy told me it was only 25 horse or something, sounded like trash to me. Its at the dump now. I was thinking a VTEC motor like all the cool kids are using, hence the bodykit. Thanks for the tips though, Ill keep em in mind. |

If you decide to go another route you could always find a Vanagon Syncro and do a running gear swap ,jack it up, put some 48"Super Swampers on it, cover it with lights, install an external roll cage, put in ARB air lockers, and head for the Rubicon. Ya baby now that's style.

Install a pair of JATO packs. You'll go from 0-1,000 mph in seconds. I'm sure you'll win plenty of pink slips with that set-up. Might want to upgrade the brakes to disc though. |

I am from Ohio... What is your point? Are you next going to be funny and tell me my city's river burned, or call Cleveland the "Mistake by The Lake." All funny. Seriously, what is your point?

wow, what a thread.
Hey gb I know people that would have paid a lot of money for an original 25hp motor! Not hackers/talibans like you though, people that appreciate vintage and rare vw. |
