What would you do?

What would you do with the parts I have to build a motor? I have a stock 40hp case, stock 40hp heads, a Solex H30/31 carb and a 205T dizzy. The motor had the "Big bore" upgrade, but I think the P&C's need replacement. Tranny is stock. My bug is not going to be a daily driver, just weekend and evening outings. Need to cruise comfortably at 65mph. Budget is approximately $1500. I am open to all kinds of suggestions; P&C's, crank, cam, rockers, etc, but would like to reuse what I already have. Thanks for the suggestions...

I'd say it's not what other would do, (for every 20 answers you'll get 20 opinions) it's ultimately your choice. Just stick "40hp" in the search "Vintage Speed" and you have plenty of options...most of them, if you're using the original case and parts will fall into your price range.
