Hey guys sorry if this is a usless thread. I've been searching through all my books and forums looking for the number to set my torque wrench for the transsmision drain plug, I keep getting the runaround to see page bla that refers me back to page blablabla. thanks for reading.

it is not in the orange manual either. Might have to look up what other cars take an 003 oor 010 and see what they say.

From 1966 VW Service Without Guesswork
Oil drain plug. Class Muk7 M24 x 1.5 14 ft. lbs.
Same plug.
Still a guess.

The Haynes Torque specs call for 14 ft/lbs for the fill and drain plug.
The Bentley late bug manual calls for 14 ft/lbs in it's torque table. That's with an identical plug and housing material.

Much thanks agin you've saved me from frustration desert bus man, I looked in all the tables and could find "drain plug" just everyother bolt on the damn tranny lol

Ditto on the '71-72 Without Guesswork - 14 ft. lbs fill+ drain plugs
