Question to those who have replaced their steel PS lines with flex lines. When the lines leave the driver's side front wheel well, they pass through a small 'port' in the frame. Did anyone pad the port in some way? Should I create some type of grommet to avoid possible chafing of the lines?
Thanks in advance. I'm fairly new around here and find it to be a remarkable resource and a great community.

No need! After you ziptie the lines to the coolant pipes, they're not going anywhere!

Hey Tim,
Thanks! I'll zip them in place good and tight.
Hope to meet you and the other 'locals' this fall at Transporter Fest.
Jules

This is a better spot for your new lines, over the gas tank in the middle.

Make sure to cover the new hose ends with a plastic bag or something as not to get them cruddy.

Looks like you're talking from experience Smile I'll take a serious look at that idea. Thanks again!
