I have installed a new vc and when trying the 2x4 test it pulls over about 2/3 into disengaging the clutch.
Do both wheels need to be jacked up?
Is it too aggressive?
I can circle around the car park in both directions with the clutch fully out with no issues. _________________ 1989 Vanagon 2.1L |

You have one rear wheel jacked, and on a wheeled jack on smooth pavement? Probably need to describe your test a little better. _________________

So for the test.
I raised the rear of the vehicle on one side and placed 2x4 under the front wheel.this was carried out on a flat tarmac car park
I have since carried out the test again but chocked both front wheels with 2x4 making sure I was in "G" gear, this allowed the rear wheel to spin and when the throttle was applied it pulled me over the 2x4. so it looks like it is performing as it should. _________________ 1989 Vanagon 2.1L |
