|

My '65 came with no dash panels or glove box door but had a wonderful 1/4" plywood full dash cover (urkle, hard swallow) and the fuel guage had no bezel so the glass and cover are loose.
Apparently the thin plywwod compressed it in place. So do I just need a bezel ring only?
I can't seem to locate just bezel front piece for speedometer anywhere and this unit seems to work well, except for the lack of mounting ability. Ideas welcome. Spare bezel? _________________ "A life of peace and happiness depends on your own gratefulness"

If it's the fuel gauge bezel you're needing, these parts are for sale in the classifieds > Fuel Gauge parts
The grills & glovebox door can also be found there if you wanna go back to a stock dash. _________________ '63 Ragtop (current)

I'm asking to be educated. The original posters gauge is a VDO, The parts you listed are a Magura, are they interchangeable?
Also, do you know of anyone that makes replacement needles for the VDO gauge. I found Magura on EBAY but the seller is very specific that they're different. |

It's not a magura . I need Only the bezel , not the glass, etc. I'm cheap enough not to want to spend $24 on those chunks anyway since I don't need it all, and no guarantee of fit. Just a bezel for vdo. _________________ "A life of peace and happiness depends on your own gratefulness" |

I have correct OEM VDO gauge, works fine, complete with everything, dash panel included if you want - $30 shipped. I probably wouldn't tear it down just to sell the chrome...hard to get any part worth having these days for cheap over the web. Parts buckets at swaps still pay off though.
I swapped a round Ghia gauge in...this is not needed now. _________________
