I’m almost done replacing the electrical harness! Harder than expected…

It would be great if you could help me identify these parts:

1. Light assembly (plastic) for the back of the fuel gauge (car is 12v)
2. Screw holding the tail light assembly before installing the plastic cover (see photo)
3. On a separate note, how can I tell if the radio is 6v or 12v? The he prior owner converted the car to 12v, the radio was connected and worked when the engine was off, no reception when the engine was running. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Must be an aftermarket fuel gauge with that kind of bulb holder. Stock German 62-67 fuel gauges should have a metal tube sticking out to insert the same kind bulbholder that is used for the lights in the speedometer.

What you have, is more like what was used in the 70s and onward. Is the bulb soldered to it, or is the bulb removable? Yours doesn't look like what I'm used to seeing though.

Bottom screw to hold the 62-67 tail light bulb holder plate down, I've always seen that as a pan head sheet metal screw.

You might try to look for the manufacturer's decal on the radio. Now, older radios can have their reception impaired by electrical noise from the ignition and charging systems.

Thanks Andy. I’m going to get an original gauge as that’s the simplest fix addressing consistency.

On the radio front, any noise filters people have used effectively?
