On a 1965 Kombi with 1/3-2/3 seat why are there two bumpers on each side ?
On the driver seat it contacts the inner one & on the other side it contacts the outer one. ??

Something's coo-coo. It's supposed to have one for each side/top of the 1/3 and another one for each side/top of the 2/3. All 4 touch equally (assuming you have your driver seat pushed back all the way and the angle adjusters in all the way. |

Looks like maybe someone put a rubber stop in the wrong place.

If that's the case (since there are none in the middle) should there be a screw hole to the right of the driver's side as seen in your photo ? |

Ambidextrous bulkhead (for RHD and LHD markets) with pressings for any needed bumper holes. Overzealous installer like Barb suggested. Mine has same arrangement, with unnecessary bumper screwed in behind pass side. _________________

Or just fill all the places with rubber stops and have emergency spares... _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |
