|

Currently converting a standard engine to an autostick, replacing the oil pump is causing a few issues.
standard oil pump has a 54.5mm long driven gear in the oil pump,
engine is a 3 rivet cam,
I have 2 spare autostick oil pumps, one with a 52mm long driven gear and another with a 57.5mm long gear.
the part numbers on the pumps are 113.115.109B and 113.011.0022 0912
would anyone know if either of these pumps will work on the standard 3 rivet cam? or where i could find the information.
Thanks in advance |

You haven't had a reply so I quickly looked on OACDP but could not find reference to the first number. I can't see that the second one is not a correct VW number.
I assume that you have a dual oil pump. The numbers certainly start at 111115101A,b etc but not the number you have unless it is a part number only for a sub-assembly.
Have a look here. It shows the pumps and then the motors that each pump assembly works with. This assumes that your motor still has the original camshaft etc. You then have to look up the camshaft type relevant to your motor to see which camshaft it has.
A bit long-winded but you eventually can find out what you need.
Start here and look at subsequent pages for the individual part numbers. It is such a good resource that I just download each volume into a file that I can search more easily.

http://oacdp.org/type1part/1063.png
http://oacdp.org/type1part/1064.png etc
Go to the top of each page and you will see the heading "Main Group 1.pdf". Click on each one in turn and save them to your computer in whatever format you like. I use the same naming convention that VW used as this will match most conventions used in VW car manuals like Bentley etc. That is Group 1- Engine, Group 2 - Fuel System etc.
Hope this helps. _________________ 1968 1500 RHD Lotus White Beetle since birth. In the hospital for major surgery

Hi,
On the back of the pump (drive tang side) there are numbers - no suffix, A suffix & B suffix.
No suffix = Flat Cam, small gears, up to around '69 ish - typically 1500 singl port engines.
"A" suffix = Flat Cam, Wide gears, larger oil passages, 1600 single port (USA only generally) - THE pump if you want to fit a non standard flat cam.
"B" suffix = Dished Cam, Wide Gears, larger oil passages - Dual Port engines.
