Ok- this is just a general thought- Would anyone find it interesting to see if and how a comprehensive book on the Barndoor Bus could be published?
I would like to take a stab at this (all the way from design, copy and printing). I would like to gather as much info. as possible to do a layout for presentation to a publisher-
Is anyone willing to contribute their knowledge?
God my wife is gonna kill me for this- |

Hi Paul- I'm not sure if he'd be willing to help with your proposed project but Tonny Larsen of www.barndoor.dk has already detailed loads of changes, specs, and bits of trivia on his website. He undoubtedly would be a wealth of knowledge for a book like that. There are several other guys here in the States that would be authorities for the topic too. Charlie Hamill, Ed Hughes, Mark Lapriore, George Schmidt, Matt Devine, and maybe even Mark Merz would all be great sources. Rikki James in the UK is also a Barndoor specialist. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

Brendan-
Thanks- I am kicking it around. I have e-mailed Rikki several times and he seems extremely insightful on this topic. I guess in my head I see this as being informational - but not your typical book, I think it would be cool to have it more graphical - as opposed to the typical "portrait" shots of busses- thou i could see overalls being interesting-
I have been on Tonny Larsen's site-and just contacted him re: his thoughts-
Many thanks- |

I am restoring a 55 barndoor at the moment, i dont know much but would be willing to contribute anything i know, pictures etc
It seems to me that most of the knowledge, (for want of a better word) of barndoors is in CA, i can think of a few people in particular, but dont really want to put thier names up here.

Simon- You can drop me a note if you wish. I don't know how difficult this may be, but I think it would be an interesting process. |

Dude, i think it is a great idea- and i think you have the graphic skills to pull it off (your work looks great hanging on our wall at the top of the stairs, BTW.) If you want someone to write text, i'm there. _________________ OG JHC
