Hello. I have a VW 412, I'm in the process of restoration.
I need to know if the speedometer cable serves the Vw 1302,
Here in Chile there are no spare parts for my car, but if there is to
the Vw 1302.
I would like to know if it works or not, that would serve Vw model.

Don't know if they are the same or not. I think the ends are the same between models, but don't know about the length. There may have been different cables used over the years on the 1302 as well. |

| Type 3 cables fit fine the top plastic twist lock fitting always breaks on type 4. I used a metal one from something. Let me look in my black book tonight and see what it came from. Ray |

So I looked in my log book last night. I used a type 3 cable with a chassis seal boot for type 3 from West Coast metric.
The metal lockring I istalled that holds cable to the back of the speedo...I have no record of what it came from. It was metal...and threaded. I noted that I simply threaded the back of the speedo with a die. I know it works perfectly. Ray |
