Just picked up this 64 and I am over the moon to have the opportunity to be the caretaker of a split window once again.
The engine number is F0287768 and I am being a complete moron looking at the engine codes.
Is this a 1300 from 66 or am I reading the codes wrong?
Any help would be much appreciated!!

Not so good news from Maui coming up these days. Hope you're fine!
This is a type 1 1300 engine from Sep 65 according to the technical section here. _________________ 02/24/2022

Thanks Tizian!
I needed that confirmation!
As to Maui, we live on the East side so all is well over here. Unfortunately, there is not a person that we know that has not been effected in some way by the fire. Many friends lost everything. |

Aloha lightspeed, I’m in Haiku with my ‘63 single cab. Check out Valley isle v-dubz on FB for events. Large group of VW fans here on Maui. |
