I bought a better looking speedometer on Samba but I'm not sure if I can use it. My speedometer has a built in two screw bezel built into the metal case for attaching to the dash. The one I bought does not have this but it appears there is some type of ring that I do not have which would attach it to the two bolt holes in the dash. It also appears to have a EGR light and ATF light. Will this work in my 72 SB? if so, where do I get a ring to attach it? Thanks. The last pic is my old speedometer showing one of the bolts on the right side of the bezel.

1972 and 1973 Super speedometers are not interchangeable, the mounting is different, as you've noticed. The mounting tabs are built into the early Super speedometers, but starting in 73, it was held in by a big ridged rubber sleeve, (yours is missing this, but you can see where it was, that's why there's a clean band around it next to the bezel) and the dashboard was changed to match it. _________________ Andy T.

Yes, common mistake thinking they interchange, I know i had to explain many times when I was selling a 73 speedometer that it would not fit flat dash bugs.
stick it back up on the classifieds, see if you can break even. _________________ 1972 1302
